Founded in 1978, the Faculty provides basic requirement courses in Humanities and Social Sciences for students of all faculties within its nine departments: the Department of Library and Information Science, Foreign Languages, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sociology and Anthropology, Thai, Philosophy and Religion, History and Archaeology, and Social Development. The Faculty's own undergraduate degree programs include Library and Information Science, English, Community Development, using English as a medium of instruction. The Cooperative Southeast Asian Semester Program, administered in part by the Council on International Educational Exchange, allows groups of international students to spend four months with faculty intructors in order to study Thai language, culture, and other aspects of Thai and Southeast Asian history and society.
